General Booking Details...
- Terms & Conditions: Please ensure that you have read our terms and conditions before making a booking. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance when you book. This is available at very affordable rates, and gives you the peace of mind if you need to cancel your holiday.
- Booking Confirmation: Please note that all bookings are based on a first come first served basis and are provisional until confirmed in writing by us.
- Payment: Deposit is one third. Balance is due 60 days prior to holiday start date.
- My Stay Planner: When you book you will have access to My Stay Planner which has important and useful information for your holiday.

Changeover Day: Our changeover day is mainly Saturday during the main season, Easter to end of October, when bookings are for full weeks unless the availability calendar displays short breaks when it would be possible to arrive and leave on different days. Outside of the main season we have flexible arrival and departure days. Please click here for information on short break periods in and out of main season.
- Arrival & Departure Times: Please remember your cottage is available from 4-30 p.m. on day of arrival and must be vacated by 9-30 a.m. on day of departure.
- Changes to your Booking: Please, you will need to tell us if there are any changes in who’s coming from those named on the original booking.
- Cottage Capacity: Each cottage has a maximum number of guests that it can sleep using Visit Britain and Quality in Tourism guidelines. So please remember, the cottage capacity cannot be exceeded – for comfort and safety of guests.
- Staying in a cottage and using facilities: Only guests listed on the booking form can stay in a cottage or use any of the facilities at Higher Menadew
- Utilities: All electric and gas include in price. Logs free for first basket.
- Smoking and Pets: All our cottages are non smoking and pet free allowing us to cater for those with allergies.

- EV Charging: There are no dedicated EV charging points and if you bring an EV you will need to charge your vehicle elsewhere. Domestic chargers using a standard 3 pin socket from the cottage cannot be used. A list of suitable places to charge can be found in My Stay Planner.
- No fireworks, fire pits, disposable BBQ’s, chinese lanterns or drones.
- No bicycles, scooters, ride-ons, roof boxes, cycle carriers, or any other large object can be stored or used in the cottage in any circumstances. These are a major impediment to safe exit in case of fire. Candles, incense burners, tea lights or other forms of naked flame are forbidden in the cottages.
